Pulsewell required an enterprise mobile platform that could securely ingest biometric data from Bluetooth pulse oximeters and smartwatches while ensuring full HIPAA compliance. Key engineering challenges included executing low-latency WebRTC video calls across weak mobile networks, securing Protected Health Information (PHI) both in transit and at rest, and maintaining a frictionless interface for elderly patients.
MobileAppo built native iOS (SwiftUI) and Android (Jetpack Compose) applications equipped with Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect integrations. We implemented end-to-end encrypted WebRTC audio/video channels with dynamic bitrate fallback for uninterrupted doctor-patient consultations. Patient records are encrypted on-device using SQLCipher and synchronized to an audited HIPAA-compliant AWS backend via TLS 1.3.
